This is an opportunity to own an incredibly unique headphone: the GoldPlanar GL1200 full ribbon tweeters. The sale includes the following as shown in the photos: (1) hard case; (2) the headphones with two sets of ribbons - a silver and gold tinted one, each offering different sound signatures (the silver ones are currently installed and they are easy to change); (3) cable with 4 pin XLR to connect with speaker interface box; (4) speaker interface box with speaker cables - you cannot use a conventional headphone amp as it has to be connected to a speaker amplifier (some have said you can connect to the Jotunheim R with an adapter, as that interface was designed for the RAAL Sr1a, the only other ribbon headphone in existence); and (5) velour and pleather pads (they are huge pads and extremely comfortable). I purchased them about a couple of weeks ago from a seller in Singapore. The only other website you can purchase from for US buyers is Linsoul and you can only get the titanium color and only one set of ribbons.

The sound of these headphones is truly extraordinary - almost speaker-like in presentation, lush and expansive (I posted some impressions on the discussion thread) and I hate to let them go. The only reason I am selling is because I have an opportunity to purchase a pair of Magnepan speakers and will use the funds from this sale to purchase them. I have been more into speakers the last few years and have to admit to myself that I won’t get much use out of the GL1200.

The price include free shipping to US buyers (add 3% for PayPal fees).

See HeadFi user John Massaria’s post for an excellent review of the GL1200. There is also, of course, the Zeos review on YouTube.

Thanks and please message me for any questions.

PRICE Reduction to $1,450 - essentially what you would pay on Linsoul but with the additional ribbons.

I never knew these had multiple ribbon drivers produced. Would love to hear what’s different between them.

Silver seems a bit more neutral and bass is tighter. Gold is a meatier sound - probably better for rock and electronic music. Both ribbons apparently need a lot of break in to sound at their best but these are basically new. Already sounds amazing to me though. The pads also impact the sound signature. I’ve tried and owned a number of high end headphones over the years (Stax, Utopia, Abyss). The GL1200 is the most unique. Like speakers, and absolutely no harshness. I only have the Sundara to compare now and the GL1200 is just on a whole other level obviously.
