This plays SD cards and sounds much better to me than any system with drives. For me, it made a bigger difference than most DAC upgrades and even some amps.

I am the original owner and purchased it in September 2021.

It outputs I2S (via HDMI), AES, coax and optical.

It effectively lets you bypass things like these that can cost many thousands:
drives (like in PCs, external HDD and SSD drives and traditional music servers)
digital interfaces (like USB to S/PDIF converters)
network players/streamers (like the SOtM sMS-200)
USB entirely (including high-end USB cables, isolators and regenerators)
Ethernet-related gear (like high-end Ethernet cables and switches)
linear power supplies
upgraded power cables for all that equipment
fancy audiophile software (such as HQPlayer, AudiophileOptimizer and Fidelizer)

(When I used high-end portable DAPs as a digital transport, it just sounded worse than using a computer...whereas this server sounds clearly better.)

Alternately, you can use a USB flash drive instead of an SD card. (But it won't work with normal external drives.)

The downside is that the interface is rather basic, and it has a few quirks.

You can only browse via the actual folder/file structure.
It doesn't read metadata tags.
On the playing screen, it displays the file name and format, sample rate, bit depth, playlist track number and playtime, along with an animation. It can also display album art, but only if there is a compatible image file in the folder that is 1,000 pixels or less.
If there are special characters like accents, it may not display the file name correctly.
You can create playlists, but I've never bothered.
The last few seconds of tracks are occasionally cut off.

It is compatible with universal remote controls if you don't want to push the buttons.

It has a fuse drawer if you ever want to upgrade (or otherwise replace) the fuse.

You can adjust the input voltage on the bottom. It is currently set to American voltage.

It still has the sticker over the 4.3-inch LCD screen.

It includes the original packaging, but did not come with a power cable. Many audiophiles use upgraded power cables anyway. (I have some for sale.)

Price includes the PayPal fee and insured FedEx Home Delivery shipping. (USA only.)
