Hi,
Just a few questions, would I be correct in assuming these are the Alpha Primes you purchased off me?
If 'yes' I would be interested in buying them back, but first a few questions.
When you purchased them from me you contacted me to say that you were concerned about the condition of them, I quote...
'I am now also concerned about the overall condition of the headphone, which arrived in a more tired condition than the sales advert belied. The headband flops about having lost shape, and the risers that adjust the cup position are loose.'
Then in the Alpha Prime thread you added 'Pads need replacing at they've gone very soft and they lose shape when worn'

So have the worn/damaged parts been replaced or are the headphones in the same condition as when you purchased them off me?

Thanks

Hi,

You sent your message after I had already closed the listing after I had decided to keep them after all (for now at least).

Points you noted above have been remedied, and I replaced the faulty DUM cable (sound only came through one channel) you had originally included when you sold it to me, with a new aftermarket balanced XLR cable. The new cable works perfectly.

Thanks, they really are lovely headphones and this is the second pair I’ve owned.

The first pair I owned was the black colour (stunning) had an original balanced cable - I bought brand new.

This pair arrived from the seller with the 6’ DUM cable being faulty (sound only from one channel) so I bought a reputable aftermarket xlr cable quickly. Once I got the new cable everything worked properly and has done since.

However as you mentioned it responds well to cable upgrades I will read up on options and I may source a better one.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your Prime! It’s a special model I think and I’ll have a hard time letting it go, if I sell it on.

For now at least I’m going to keep it and enjoy over the festive season and then if the right UK buyer comes along at the right price I will consider letting it move to a new home.
