They show little sign of wear and are in great overall shape.

I notice you have a pair of 770 250ohm. Do you like these enough over the 80 ohm version that you recommend I pickup second pair. I like the look of the FR on the 250 ohm better and have heard good things about the bass. I am currently using Alcantara pads on mine and am just curious why everyone seems to have a pair and love them so much myself included.

I like the 250ohm version but I’ve never compared it to the 80ohm. From what I’ve read, when properly amped, the 250 is the way to go.

Yeah for sure I was just wondering if you had anything specific about it that makes you keep it in your collection. There seems to be something about the 770 in particular that that makes all these people with very high end headphones gravitate towards it. They have more neutral and more expensive versions of the same thing. And all the people I see without massive setups seem to be using a 880 or 990 because they were told its supposed to be better. Yet despite two new revisions the 770 prevails. I love it

It’s just different. Don’t think the 880 or 990 are better or worse… just a different signature. I prefer closed backs. I’ve had the 990 and 880 but sold them. I think for the money it’s hard to go wrong.
