I know. It's really an excellent sounding DAC. I actually thought I would never sell this DAC but sometimes life throws you curve balls and here we are.

Mostly life reasons to meet financial responsibilities. I suppose after I recover, I'll probably try to upgrade, but really pound for pound, the Ares 2 is one of those DACs punching way above its price point.
