I built a few of these amps and offering them here at basically cost.
Not looking to profit off of these, purpose of building these was to experiment with different power supply and transformer configurations.
They are all the same circuit (RH84, which is fairly known as sounding great) and have similar performance.
I designed the PCB for this with consultation from an industry expert.
All of the power supplies are over-built and the amps are extremely quiet.
Frequency response and THD was measured for all amps.
If you were planning on buying a Pendant or other similar amp, this would probably be a much better value.
Prices do not include tubes or shipping (I expect around $20-$30). I have alot of EL84 and 12AT7 (Telefunken, Mullard) tubes that I can offer at a modest cost.
From left to right (in the picture where all 3 are visible)
1) Power amp -- probably not relevant to this audience, but I could add a headphone output and volume pot.
2) Overkill headhpone/int. amp -- SOLD
* Massive O'netics output transformers.
* Power supply -- regulated B+ and regulated DC heater supplies. HT and heater windings snubbed to reduce resonances.
* TKD 2CP-601 volume pot, Gold-plated Pomona binding posts and Vampire RCA's.
* 4/8/off speaker output toggle.
* Chassis is anodized black Modushop CNC milled by front panel express.
* Headphone output wired to a 16ohm tap, giving max 1W to 100ohm and 400mW to 300ohm.
3) Compact headphone amp -- SOLD
* Edcor transformers.
* SS rectified CLC power supply with AnTek toroidal choke. AC heaters lifted to 60V.
* Alps Blue Velvet volume pot.
* Orange powder-coated chassis by Landfall Systems.
* Headphone output wired to a 16ohm tap, giving max 1W to 100ohm and 400mW to 300ohm.
I could write alot more so I'll just leave it here, please feel free to reach out with any questions.
