I’ve owned hifiman. I would not compare the sound qaulity to the max. They are good, but remember they are a noise canceling portable headphone. They have some extra tricks, and better sound, compared to equivalent competitors.

Your price drop fits right within my current budget. I'd like to connect to the ipads I got and watch prime and youtube videos. Good thing here in SoCal it's not too cold to wear metal headphones during winter.

Hi Just received it. Been using it with my cayin dap and it's on parr with my skullcandy anc. But you are right, the noise cancelling and the ambient mode are on another level, and I bet the 360 mode will be even more awesome when I watch youtube on the ipad pro. Happy new year!
