I just downloaded four albums from this site:

Absolutely amazing recordings in 24/96 for anybody looking for some good material to test (and enjoy) with their gear.  Amoung the best I have heard.  Up there with BlueCoast and dsdfile.com.

I need to ask Yulong what the "low" and "high" jacks actually refer to. Is it output impedance? Gain? Current? I don't know.

Yulong says: "Low impedance jack is suitable for high sensitivity low impedance headphones" [...]
Using this jack you will avoid the risk of damage the headphone (due to a volume level too high).
He also wrote: [...]"Most headphones should use the high impedance jack".

I have a A28 unit, I will use it most of the time on "Balance mode" but I have some questions for the "Unbalance mode" only the right conector seems to be stereo, the left one only plays on mono. Is correct this? Any special instruction for the Unbalance mode?

Thanks.

Thank you for that. I tried a few other headphones last night, and did seem to prefer the HIGH jack more often than not. Did he mention output impedance on each jack?

Yes, the high output impedance seems more lively and low impedance jack seems dead (not lively), I also have observed a more transparent music presentation from high jack.
However, I think that the baanced output is faaaaar better than the single end, teted with HD600 and through the balanced output, the music are punchy and lift up, true nice. Single end output of A28 is not that competitive in my opinion.

A28 has good transparency and balanced/neutral to my ears.

Not Woo'd but Yu'd!

Some very nice and helpful impressions from the early users here. Looking forward to another well-written project86 review as well as the findings of others. Also much liking the looks of this latest product line. Beats the exterior of Schiit products in my opinion.

Can anyone comment specifically on the synergy between HD 800 & A28 in balanced mode, Does the HD 800 sound a bit lean on the A28 ?

Thanks

I would not say its lean at all on the A28 balanced. But it's less full than on the v200.

OK, if you only had the LCD-2 and you could only keep one amp, which would you choose......A28 or V200?

I can't lie, I prefer the v200 over the A28

Would comparing the V181 to the A28 be a better comparison?Similarly comparing the V200 to the A18 would also be a good comparison.

V200/V181 as well as A28 in balanced output all put more power than the A18 into the 60 ohm load of the LCD-2, correct? Will this be the more important factor for the LCD-2 versus the balanced/unbalanced typology?
