As I understand this guy is the most impressed with two dual Sparkos SS2590, as he is sayis that XD05PRO with these SS2590 opamps reminds him the sound of Hugo TT2

Yes, this is a review that was created with great commitment. It follows, if I understood correctly, that the often underestimated ROHM dac best develops the potential of replaceable opamps, and the SS2590 pro is the best choice according to the reviewer.
Does anyone knows which levels has it in the dap group? Mid-high (m15s, n7), high-end(m17, n8, r8)?
Next week I will get this, and I’ve also a hiby r5 gen2. I hope the xduoo better than my dap in the sound quality.

I had M17 and sold it. It was too "dry/thin" sounding for my taste, lacked a bit musicality with emotions, but sounded very dynamic, technical and detailed. I like my XD05PRO sound signature more, especially with so much available options of dac/op-amp and combinations to tune sound for my taste. It makes this device "universal soldier"
Listening is done using ROHM DAC module...
HA-8802 is really great sounding for female vocals more so than the famous MUSES02.
MUSES02 still got sounds a bit digital and soundstage is very narrow.
However, HA-8802 sounds very tube like analog smooth sound with focus on mids (forward mids makes vocals stands out). Soundstage is wide and can able to pin point instruments from different directions. Detail retrieval are excellent as well.
This short review is after I listen for half and hour or so, op-amps still yet to burned in yet.
Will give a impression after I have more listening to it!

I can confirmed Xduoo XD05 Pro is as good as TOTL DAPs no kidding here.
Xduoo motto in Chinese is 大力出奇迹 meaning "great power brings miracles" is no joke here!

Like the fact that Xduoo XD05 Pro enables users to customise their own sound by offering DAC module that one can easily swapped out & also op-amps that one can customise to their own musical taste.
Xduoo XD05 Pro offers great value, even stock configurations sounds very good already!

according to this a couple sides before they draw double the current which could lead to problems, if i understand correctly. also you cannot close the xduoo anymore.

As I see from YouTube review, which was posted above, there were 0 problems using SS2590 with XD05PRO, also that guy said that SS2590 sounded the best out of all his opamp collection I will receive my mini PCI-E adapter for XD05PRO in a couple days and will also finally test my two Burson V6 opamps with XD05PRO final step will be getting two dual SS2590 as shown in that video

I should receive the BURSON V7s next week, and on this occasion I will also take some time to test the SS2590 PRO.
I'm almost certain that I will have the same problem that @quaddac had with the STACCATO, i.e. that I will only get operation in ECO or NORMAL mode and not in TURBO. But I could be wrong.
