Please let us not forget the power associated with a Lossless sound file.
 
A lossless sound file @ 800 - 1000+ Kbps will destroy the battery on that zune in no time if used often.
 
Lossy an optimal choice not simply because of the sound characteristics of what we are looking at here, but also because of the limits of a portable rig in general.

Good point (for those of us without a Hifiman).
