Well; it is rather obvious that lower class "Americans" are being legislated out of existence by our national leaders in New York, but I'm not about to bring THAT up.

You just brought it up. Too late now. Tell us the rest.

How did I miss this for this long. Was that honestly the best she could have thought of? Right of the top of my head I would be saying the geography is taking a backseat in schools because of pressure to improve in mathematics, and the sciences to keep up with other nations and gone into some tirade about that. Seriously, that is not a hard question.

If one of the five does, I would appreciate a Mapquest PM
of the location.

Looks like it's close to me, but I never heard of it before...

First of all, where's my passport? I need to get out of this country...

Second of all, please make this girl refrain from reproducing in the future.

Many teenagers know little about geography; it's just so damn boring to learn about.

In Maine we had a phrase for someone seemingly as dumb - such a person was said to be "numb as a Hake".

This is a Hake ...

At first I thought this young woman from So. Carolina would qualify, but I saw a later shot of her leaving the pageant proving she is no dummy ...

You just had the wrong teacher. I found it so interesting, I majored in it.

Bottom line: There are only do many hours in the day to teach subjects. Language Arts, Math, and to a MUCH lesser degree, science are where it's at right now in elementary school.

Mods, delete if found too political. I would wager that we care about as much about geography as we do politics. We are a VERY geocentric and indifferent country.

This girl is only doing what her parents told her: Look pretty to the camera. Nobody ever told her about being coherent...
