Find a good RCA cable first that is in line with the components it's attached to in terms of price/performance (for example don't put a $700 cable on $200 worth of gear).

What do you mean with "go first"?
Which you let go (disconnect) first? Or something else...

My experience has been

ICs first

Power cord second

Taking my time to re-cable my hps. I'll re-cable when needed and I'd say the RS-1s will be first.

The ICs, as they carry the weakest signal and are thus more sensitive to interference. If you were talking about a speaker setup with very long runs, the speaker cable could become the higher priority.

"Audiophile" power cables, on the other hand, are a total scam.

i think all matter, but now that i think about it, i definitely have spent the most on ICs first, then HP cables, and then power cords - so maybe the above order is correct.
