I'm currently using two vintage PCDPs -- Kenwood DPC-61 and Sony D-33 via line outs, amped. The Kenwood is slightly bright, while the D-33 is lush, warm and dark... I suspect if you put it in a black box you could convince somebody it was a full size mid-fi player, although you wouldn't fool anybody re: audiophile credentials. Have a Toshiba SD-3980 on the way, and looking toward getting a vintage full size CDP soon (either that, or transport/DAC combo).

Well, since my speaker rig is kind of on hold right now, and lan's got my Grace m902 and the Qualia's out for repairs, my rig is:

Chord Blu > Chord DAC64 > AE-1 > ATH-W10VTG.

Heh, dunno how this ended up happening. And I'm not even a member of team Source First!
