Miki Yui, "Torli," from Lupe Luep Peul Epul

A tonal/ambient study around 3 minutes long, designed to be looped. It reminds me of the wood water timed fountain in the final battle at the House of Blue Leaves in Kill Bill. There is a strange sine wave crescendo followed by an organic thunking noise that happens periodicially.

Michael Landau - Live 2000

ML has to be one of the most recorded guitarists in history. Just go to the All Music Guide to see a partial list of albums he has played on. I'll be willing to bet that you own at least one album on which he has contributed. Anyway, this live double cd set has him playing his solo stuff in a power trio format. The recording is pristine (HDCD) and the playing is nothing short of stellar. I would describe his music as what Jimi Hendrix could have been. Don't get me wrong I'm a HUGE Hendrix fan, but this guy takes his playing to the next level. He has all of Jimi's bag of tricks and emotion, but uses many more shades and textures. As a matter of fact, he does a great cover of "Up From The Skies" on this cd.
