Jonah Jumps Again is a Capital records released in1959 album by Jonah Jones and his quartet.
Jonah Jumps Again was chosen as one of Billboard magazine's 'Spotlight Winners of the Week' upon its release in February 1959, commenting that "Jonah Jones should continue his string of hit albums with this swinging, hit, set. ...it features the wonderful trumpet work of Jones and an occasional bright vocal, plus fine backing by the other members of the quartet."
The Jonah Jones Quartet
Never heard of this Quartet. Picked it up at my haul last week. Very nice type on New Orleans type sound as I listen. Although the cover wasn't treated nicely the record itself is in decent shape after a good cleaning. It's a great sounding recording. B++ condition with few pops. Hope to find more of his work.
