My old external HDD started making odd noises, so I replaced it last weekend. Restoring my backups took nearly 36 hours, but it was all there. Phew!

I have all my 1tb music backed in 4 places : Laptop, NAS with RAID1, MS OneDrive, and Amazon Glacier (NAS backs up into Amazon Glacier) . About 4 years back, I lost all my digital life: photos, music and docs to a HDD failure, so I am extra carefull now. I am hedging my bets on multiple online storage services too.
