I just noticed that I can adjust the master volume of my MacBook while my Corda 2Move is connected via USB. I don't think this had been the case before with my computer connected via toslink. Does anyone know if this is the correct setting? I could have sworn there was an option to disable volume control when connected to an external USB DAC.

Any thoughts?

The volume control is disabled automatically using the optical digital output, but otherwise not as far as I know. I wouldn't worry about it though, there's nothing wrong with the software-controlled volume in Mac OS X.

Thanks. I was worried that the output was bitperfect only when the volume was at 100%, but I think that is only specific to iTunes.
