the germans will prove their prowess...just wait n see...err listen i mean.
a big/ger soundstage with fuller bass, and a more organic sound..
just wishing....:p

Unfortunately neither of the German companies Ultrasone and Beyer ever achieved this with any headphone comparable to the likes of Sennheiser's flagships.

Yes, as the Signatures are basicly modified HFI/DJ1 cans, Ultrasone has already proven, that they can better the sound alot by reusing old designs. Even the baffle boards did not change.

If I'm not mistaken the Sig Pro is based on the ED 9 framework  (tweaked driver).

Tylls video review of the edition 10 was pretty dumb , it doesn't reflect the performance of the cans imo.
Also he says ultrasone haven't made anything he likes when he posted a good review of the edition 8 over at headroom, maybe he forgot about them.
“The Ultrasone Edition 8 provides an absolutely engaging and entertaining listen experience, perfectly capable of taking you away from the mundane world of the road and into that place where you and your music are one.  Highly recommended.“

If you look at the announcement letter there is mention of a HFI-1000 , wonder if that is a new headphone , the editions dont have 'other' names, interesting.........

Put them on today but couldn't really give a good impression due to background noise and them being open back didn't help either. They felt comfortable and well built but the only thing I could gather is their highs being tamer than the ED10. There's wasn't a dedicated listening room either unfortunately. The new Ultrasone standard should be those Signatures anway and not the ED10.

So you are visiting the High End in München? Or where did you try them?

ED 12 shall have a more ED 8 oriented sound. It comes in a bag and costs 1299 Euro. Someone from AREA DVD took this photo. He also states that they sound more neutral than the ED 10.
