That's what I was thinking. This is an excellent composition, but judging by the lack of responses, I'm to conclude that this forum is overrun by hardcore metal or rock junkies.

BTW, I had a difficult time in tracking down a recording to this song. Thus far, I am led to believe that it was officially only released on DVD to a select fan group. This particular arrangement is by Shiro Hamaguchi and performed by the New Symphony Orchestra Tokyo on what is known as "Tour de Japon". The original composition is given credit to renowned composer Nobuo Uematsu.

I saw live orchestrated versions of several Final Fantasy songs during the "Dear Friends" tour that Nobuo Uematsu put on a couple years ago. One of the original performances that this tour was based on was recorded and you can purchase it from Amazon:

Amazing, I love that game and the soundtrack and that piece in particular. It's definetely my favourite Final Fantasy song. First thing I did after completing the game was wiping the dust of my electric piano and practice that piece. Simple and sublime.

I haven't played FFXII but I do think FFX has the best soundtrack out of the 'newer' Final Fantasies i.e. 7 onwards. And Tidus doesn't really leave-play FFX-2
