I'm thinking ordering a ODAC or UD110 v2 but am not sure about the SQ of UD110 v2 compared to ODAC, is it UD110 v2 good or a poor man's DAC?
Where can I order UD120 and is it available?

I have compared both the UD110 v2 alongside with the CDAC+ which is essentially and optimized ODAC(have heard both I prefer the CDAC though they sound very close) the UD110v2 is a very good DAC, with out regarding the price if I listened to both the CDAC+(ODAC) and the ud110 I would think they are about the same price tier. Perhaps the ODAC being slightly more by 10-20$ or so, but the ud110 I would of thought would be around 120-130$ not 60$. I compared the bunch in a review saying as much as I love the CDAC that if I had to sell and be left with the UD110 v2, I do not   believe I would be bummed about only have the UD110 in fact I think I would quite enjoy the 110 being my DAC(at one point it was and I could not justify paying the extra premium to Get the ODAC.

You should be happy with this DAC, especially if you are getting a quality amplifier and headphones to pair with the device. I will be honest if you are not happy then I do not think you will care for the ODAC that much then. Hope this helps at all.

The ODAC comes up to me as a definite step above the UD110mk2 ime but depending on setup can be more difficult to get it working properly(mine loses lock easily). The UD110mk2 does its job at its price and is extreme value for money still though. I would spring for the CDAC+ straight alway. The ODAC benefits from isolation and power supply though not as much as the UD110mk2 which scales a lot less.

See i feel the cdac was more of an improvement than the odac when coming from ud110. It is the next tier if you can get a cdac fir 140 shpped it is best in sub 200 price range

Not to me though. ODAC actually sounds pretty much like UD110, as they are based on the same ES9023 DAC. On the other hand, UD110 (which is same sounding as UD110 mk2) is based on PCM5102. If you have the volume matched, the difference is much smaller than they appear to be when listened individually. But that's not to say you won't prefer one over the other since they do have different presentation. ESS always sounds more impressive from the start because of they put out more detail and grander image. But at the end it is also drier, less musical and more mechanical with its approach.

The odac is better with some things, when I was comparing things, but like I said for the price difference of  of almost a 100$ the Ud110 is the better choice, you could use that 100$ and add it to getting yourself a nice amp that you have been wanting and that would pair well with the ud110 and or headphones. I think the CDAC+ is also a bit more detail and maybe spaced than the UD110 but I do not thing the Ud110 can be beaten at this price.

A bit out of topic, but I think NwAvGuy probably isn't going to be happy if he ever saw the cDAC+.

Well that is if he did not go a wall, but yet most likely not, then again I think the CDAC+ though it is a small difference sounds better, and can be bought and shipped from Canada for less than th an ODAC bought

Budget wise, I pick UD110. However I prefer EDAC due to the RCA output. I don't want to search for another 3.5mm to RCA cable. Splitter looks weird, and 3.5mm to RCA looks weird too. Still UD100 is still one of my favorite DAC, along with Modi, and EDAC. And sold my Aune T1. :D

Okay. just received the UD120 this morning. Basically the DAC chip is the same as UD110, which is TI's PCM5102A. The major hardware change is on the USB receiver and clock. UD120 is now running on Saviaudio SA9227 and the same company's new audio precision clock SA8133, supports up to 32 bit / 384kHz sampling in ASIO mode or up to 32 bit / 192kHz without ASIO.

I already tried it on my Xperia Z2 and it has not problem running with UAPP.

First impression is, it is at least as good as the UD110 MK1. I can't give them an A/Bing as MK1's driver is incompatible with UD120's driver, so I can't have them install at the same time.

Has anybody reviewed or used Matrix USB-SPDIF dac for Android phone Samsung S4 and how is it SQ?

..and how's that have to do with what we are discussing here?
