Not yet. Trying to wrap up some last minute audio spending before I shut it down (spending on audio) 'til summer. Will be restocking writing related stuff this spring, however....

Change of plans on my new work phone. My son has an S4 and I walked around with it in my pocket for a while. I liked it. It's really only slightly bigger than my HTC 8X. The edges of the S4 are slightly thicker than the 8X. I really like the form factor of the 8X, it seems perfect for me - it's just too bad the phone itself sucks so hard. I also went to Fry's and looked at the Droid Mini, Moto X, S4 and S4 Mini.

I think the Samsungs win - they just felt the best in my hand. I probably should get the S4 Mini, but the S4 has better specs and seems like the better deal - and it does fit in my pocket...

I'd get the S4 over the Mini; quad vs dual core, 2GB vs 1GB of RAM, AMOLED vs LCD, etc. etc.. You make too many compromises with the latter.

Yup - that's exactly what I'm thinking. My son rooted his S4, then he shutdown big chunks of the Samsung SW. He said he's now getting much better battery life.

My understanding is that it is believed it will be *announced* at the show in Barcelona, but they don't think it will actually be released for several more months. No?

Futurama is one of those shows I keep saying I'm going to sit down and watch. Years ago I would sometimes watch it on Adult Swim if I didn't have anything else to do at that time of night, and I thought it was brilliant. I remember laughing for about a minute straight when some aliens disembarked from their spaceship and declared "All your base are belong to us!" There are quite a few seasons of it (all of them? I haven't actually checked against an episode listing) on Netflix, which was something that excited me when I first set up the account. I've got a panoramic 7" screen to enjoy it on now, so I've got no excuse.

Good News Everyone!

Futurama was an absolutely great show. Highly recommended. The characters became a little too predictable, but that's also part of the kitsch.
