My 8.A came in last night and boy I wasn't expecting that much bass. I love the bass in these it's phenomenal, if there's any bass in the recording it'll rock you from head to toe but at the same time it isn't too intrusive in anything else overall. With the fit there seems to be a very small issue at times but rarely noticeable, then again it could have something to do with poor insertion or change in body weight from when I took my impressions.

I'm glad to hear about the bass. That's one of the reasons I went for the 8.A. I listen to electronica/progressive and I love the 'feeling' of bass in IEMs. At the moment I'm using Westone 4 with a headstage v3, and I always have the bass boost on. I've ordered the CEntrance M-8 to pair with the 8.A. I expect greatness.

Hi FullCircle, I was recommended to ask you for your opinion on my impressions before sending them out. Is it possible if you can give me your opinion?

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/giewsaqpnnh9ci8/9Qzz5sdIw3

I
 have the following issues:

1. I can clearly see two bends in one of the impressions but the other one is almost flat (I cant see two bends). Is this a possible failure of the impression process?

2. What does "Full Helix" and "Crus of Helix" mean? My understanding of it was that the impression had to cover the entire outer ear lobe. I have a photo of the impression against my ear and it did not reach the end of it. Did my impression fulfill the helix requirements?

Sorry, I can't open drop box.... "Welcome to China"

My impressions arrived in Chengdu on 27/12....now my compensation battle with Parcel Force begins as they should have arrived on 21/12.

Really looking forward to hearing how they compare with my JH16s (via my DX100)

You'll be amazed if you use the max bass boost level if you're listening to electronica :).

I sent the pictures of my impressions to Bangkokkid and he deemed them less than perfect so I am getting another set of impressions this Monday. Those of you who are about to send your impressions, I'd highly recommend sending detailed pictures first to save you time and effort. Looks like I am going to go with the rush build option.

That's good. I'm still waiting for someone to look over my impressions. I haven't gotten any replies yet. I tried calling in as well. It seems like they are on holiday? Also, may I ask what was the issue that turned out in your impressions?

My issue was that the tragal area was not done perfectly. I went to the same audiologist and the impressions looked similar to the ones I had before and I've never had any glaring fit issues with 1964 Ears but this time they didn't look good, which is actually good news because that tells me that Heir Audio really do care about having a good fit, as perfect as possible. I think my current customs fit well but they can also improve a bit better, a tiny bit better maybe that's the problem.

I know this isn't the thread for this, but is applying a layer or two of clear nail polish to CIEMs actually a viable option for improving fit?

If at the heir audio website my order says "Being Produced", does this mean that my impressions were approved and sent off to China?

I emailed Brannan last night and have yet to get a response on whether my impressions were even received.  I'm sure he is busy with all of the holiday orders.
