To me they’re a tad forward in the upper regions but that bass is glorious. So weird. Some say they are warm, even dark, others say they are a little bright. lol

Sounds like the HE1000 Stealth, which I've fallen madly in love with.Longest serving IEM in my collection. If you like that pristinely clean type signature with a guttural but precise sub bass you’re in for a treat.
I'd love to hear it myself.Would love to see your review for Monachaa!
Great review!
How does this cable sound?
This is just for you. <3
Sounds like Storm, I guess .How does this cable sound?
Many people say the Neumann NDH-30 is dark, but I don't agree at all. It's really all subjective. Many consider it still one of the best in resolution, therefore, can't be dark, I heard complaint about its treble on the other hand.
Thats not quite true. High end dacs can sound very different and make more difference than an amp. Something like May will sound very different to Wandla or Dave. Yet alone summit fi stuff like higher end lapizators or something like wavedream signature balanced.
The headphone will make the biggest difference though.

I found Z1R's bass to be top notch for both slam and texture/timbre. On top of that it's very resolving, tactile, and musical. And that comes from a bass moron (ask around here should you need proof ) as much too often I find it just in the way of the music. Like, for instance, with the other IEM you mentioned.Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but is the IER Z1R still considered the top bass performer in 2024? [...] The XE6 sounded a bit bloated to me but I didn't try changing tips on it for the short time I got to demo it.
The Volur is an interesting one. How does the low end resolve on it ? Under 200hz. Comparable to the Z1R or still outclassed?I found Z1R's bass to be top notch for both slam and texture/timbre. I did like the bass of Ragnar, Rn6, and Volür a lot too.

At gunpoint I would choose for Z1R...The Volur is an interesting one. How does the low end resolve on it ? Under 200hz. Comparable to the Z1R or still outclassed?
