I have a sneaking suspicion that the Kinetic Bass port works better with customs, because they can better control its positioning (angle, distance) relative to my concha with customs.

That makes complete sense. Man, now I need to head to a CanJam so I can demo the Fir Frontier series myself. I've always been curious about that Kinetic Bass implementation.

I've never seen a single add on Head-fi. Using Firefox like you but with uBlock Origin.

uBlock FTW! I started using this when YouTube started cracking down on ad blocking and I haven't had issues since I installed it. I forget that it's installed and I love that it blocks like 90% of ads on various sites I visit.

I'll have versa connectors on my Aristotle and Euclid, will check if they fit the ie900. Imo the raphael is not "extremely light and thin", it's noticeably less pliable than the Fortitude

yeah I was only seeing ads on my iPad lol, my uBlock settings were messed up so I fixed it. All good, but the ads were whacky as hell when I saw em!

Referring to the ie600, 800 and 900. What’s Sennies secret sauce on manufacturing such amazing full range single units?? Is it just good old German know how and material science??
Even my single driver Sennheiser TWS Momentum’s 1, 2 and 3 all sound excellent..

I can only imagine how that sounds! I think having a desktop piece that’s great for IEMs too is a great choice. The Lotoo Mjolnir (for my tastes) blows away any DAP I’ve heard and that’s not even a “proper” desktop piece of gear. I’ll hopefully try the DMP-Z1 this year but I’m not sure I’d buy one since it’s discontinued.

I have a bit of a mental hurdle buying a stack like this though, I like the Mjolnir because it is still transportable even though I haven’t taken it with me anywhere yet.

I’m definitely going to check out some desktop amps at CanJam SoCal and see if there’s any I can convince myself I need

I could a/b it with the dcs lina, its REALLY good as well
And versatile, also able to drive speakers.

To my taste I preferred lina a hair more for the Jewel. But both are god tier.

I thought totl dap would be the end of it, and I was always for mobile first.
But that has gone out the window.

Cant compete with desktop (yet), really is another level

Yeah I have auditioned the mjolnir as well, but I consider that a desktop amp/dac tbh
Would never bring it to the office.

Its amazing though!

I always liked IEM’s due to their mobility, but on all honesty I use them 90% of the time at my desk.

And now I have heard them, I cant unhear it lol
