I own the Gemini HSR-1000 and to me they are the best sounding headphones, for under $100.
If Sony put their name on them they could sell for maybe $125-$150.

Well, they just arrived. Probably going to shoot an unboxing and first impression video. I really hope they fit well...because I usually can tell right away if I'm going to be able to wear them for extended periods of time or not.

Done... Check it out for those who don't own these.

Just liked, subbed and commented!

Wait till you try them with the HM5 pads! I like the original pads over the memory foam as they're softer and conform to the shaped of your head better. Makes for comfortable long listening/gaming sessions.

So are you saying the Gemini pads are not the same as the Brainwaves. So both the links you have are both different pads.... and you like the original Brainwaves pads better than the memory foam pads?

I thought the original pads ARE in deed memory foam.

The stock pads are quite shallow and hard compared to the HM5 pads. The original ones are filled with polyester cotton or similar material, it's much softer.

Yes...The HM5 pads are much larger looking. But out of the HM5 pads, you like the stock HM5 vs Memory foam pads I take it.....

Exactly. But that's personal preference, as I've got both.

I've noticed that most people prefer the memory foam pads, though.

Cool. I also think they would be better because after hours of wearing them now (Gemini versions) they were giving me some fatigue but at least it's not THAT bad.

It's because they don't have super clamp and are lighter than both the DT 770 and HD 280.

I only wish they felt more like the HD 598 but hey....you can't have it all I guess.

Maybe I will love the HM5 pads and be completely set...who knows.
