The inteesting thing about all these OEM versions is, DO THEY SOUND THE SAME ???
Do they share all parts or just some ??

Has anyone tried a direct comparrison ??

I tried the pro 80 at a hoved-fi meet and liked them so much I bought the qpad qh-90. All I can say that it at least had the aspects of the signature that I really loved and is a really capable headphone, I have not done a direct comparison though.

How long did you let them break-in? Mine took awhile and I thought I'd made a mistake. They are what they are but for the price point mine sound amazingly good. My issue with them is they are ever so slightly small for my over sized cranium...

I bought 2050 on some promo.
And mine 2050 took like few hours to get rid of the shrill highs, and actually I was suprise with the amount of bass there (kind of on the neutral side); the drawback for me is that they haven't much expanded width of headstage as I would hope (there is some feeling of congestion there).
However for like 40$ (incl tax), they must be the best price/performance ration for over-the-ear headphones

While Takstars are not known for their wide soundstage, they are not that bad, be sure of using them with high quality recordings. I remember myself having some fun playing binaural recordings through my Hi-2050.

Best Luck!

Takstar's sound great from my D-2 to my O2, nothing lacking here! I do use the tube output from the D-2...

Transplant complete.

Cut the cups to be a little wider so more air can pass through similar to the AD2000s, though the AD2000s are much more open.

Installed the Audio Technica AD2000 drivers into the baffles for the Takstars.

(the silver ring is off, it is going to be painted another color.

T5p Strain reliefs

HM5 pleather pads

Dual entry AD2000 cable.

Are the pads smaller on the pro 80 compared to the 2050 or the same size?

Seems the deal i got on the 2050 was too god to be true, so waiting for a refund. so looking again for some headphones. Have the takstar 5500 but the pads are a bit to small, so unsure about the pro 80.

let me put it this way: I have big ears. More precisely 6.5 cm long and 4 cm wide, sticking out on the top. The Pro80 pads fully enclose them, and they don't touch the baffle plate, if so only the mesh that covers it. They are much bigger than they appear
