I searched and I think I might have come by the one you are referring to. However I'm not familiar with ebay so I don't really know what to expect.

If you want to buy new T1's, this guy is great - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Beyerdynamic-T1-premium-Dynamic-Headphone-SAVE-BIG-/121092639272?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item1c31af0a28. You don't have to worry in my opinon.

Talked to him few days ago. These in link are practicaly new just unpacked to show ppl. As for sealed brand new, he can make you much better price than 1400$ if you ask him.

That's quite a good price. Why don't you go for it since it has warranty for the price?

I'm curious, when they quote the shipping prices is it just the shipping and handling (~$55) or is it that plus 'each additional item' (~$20)?

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean.

1x T1 -> 54,25$
2x T1 -> 74,25$

Any amp recommendation for T1 for around 1000USD? I got taken by the devil and pulled the trigger on T1 when I got a special offer from local dealer for $1050 new. Now i m using Lyr to temporarily drive T1, with a variety of tubes. T1 doesn't seem to respond well to tube rolling with Lyr, whereas HE-500 does well. Using T1 with Asgard results in too laid back of a sound to be my cup of tea.

if you find the asgard too laid back, hows the lyr ?

Lyr is not as laid back as Asgard. I can deal with that. I am currently using Voskhod 6N1P, and to my ears they sound better than stock tubes if I am using HE500/HD600 with them. But for T1, it is still sounding thin and lack of impact to my ears. Music sounds quite distant and not as involving. And highs are not as smooth as HE500 either. T1 still sounds superior soundstage, imaging, and more details.

I may need to give more head time to T1 though. They are still less than 10 hours used as of now. Too quick of an impression. And am still waiting for Siemens E88CCs and PCC189s to roll into Lyr.

I'm using a Little Dot MKIV/SE to drive my T1.  Sounds better than my Lyr (for the T1, anyway).  Still way under your budget though

Thanks for your suggestion. I will need to give T1 more head time, and I think there is a place in singapore where I can audition Little Dot amps. It's just that what I am missing with T1 here is more of a synergy I believe. They have many better points over my other phones.

My balanced 4 channel B22 and my T1s seems to be the perfect match.  1K  for a balanced B22 might not work.  However, other B22's are under 1K ie.. 2 and 3 channel builds.

For 1K and under.  How about the Mjonlir?

My balanced CK2III sounds really good with the T1s as well.  It gives them the juice they need to perform. and it's well under the 1K mark.

Actually, i thought about Mjolnir as well. But i am not confident of using balanced as it can be a hassle recabling T1, as its not user removable cable. I could try mjolnir at local retailer but my T1 needs to be balanced first. :frowning2: or could i simply use rca to xlr adaptor? If i m not wrong, schiit says using an adaptor for a non balanced cable can trigger the amp's internal protection?

Correct - that won't work.  So yes the only way to use the Mjolnir is to recable.  You can also look at it this way.  For around the 1K mark - you can get the MJ and do the re cable here:  http://btgaudio.wordpress.com/    with removable cables if you want.
