are they going to be numbered?

Grado Statement, I believe. Grado decided not to use Statement Series for obvious reasons. Also, I believe the number 1000 was used because of the HeadAmp GS-1.

Will there be any Alessandro MS-1000/MS-S/MS- .... whatever, in the future?

Willpower will have to be strong not to jump on this one.

Todd is this still a very forward sounding can or a departure from that to one of more soundstage?

That is an interesting question. If there will be one I would say it is at least a year if not more after launch.

Well, the PS-1 should handle these pads with no problem.

Todd,

Are the pads sold separately? If so, can they be preordered?

so GS stands for Grado Signature right?

i dont think the ps1 could even handle these pads. people were saying that with flat pads these things put out more bass than any headphone device sinnce the stone age.

EDIT: anyone want to loan me 1000 bucks?

somehow i still prefer the look of the RS1 and 325i headphones.. they just look so solid and retro. i guess the new look is an acquired taste..

note that the above gripe is because i dont have enough dosh for the GS1000.

but seriously..

Pads are $50 and Todd is supposed to be carrying them as well. They fit on all other Grados but so far reports are that they suck on all but the GS-1k.

They are supposed to have a bigger soundstage than other Grados and bass second only the PS-1, at least that is what I've been able to dredge out of the other threads. Sounds VERY interesting to me.

question is, who knows now what amps will work best with these ? Could someone take a guess ? I have been wanting to try some grado for a while now, this, while expensive, seem very interesting !
