I also wanna know the SQ of DX50 with Pico Power amp. Anyone have this combo?
The combo definitely takes the DX50 up a few notches. Everything is just cleaner and more refined. As per all of Justin's amps, they are like glasses for your source component. That is to say that the PP doesn't have much of a sound signature on its own. The Pico Power is the best portable amp I've heard. The DX50 sits almost perfectly atop the DX50 and the sound is very good. Compared to the AK120 unamped, the DX50+Pico Power gives it a run for its money. Definitely a great synergizing combo for my SE5.

On the subject of amping... I haven't tried but then I only have a Fiio E17 and don't expect it to sound better frankly. Someone asked earlier about how well the DX50 drives fullsize headphones but not seen too many if any replies. So far I've used my DX50 with a range of HPs up to my highest impedance HD600's and frankly it sounded good to great with all of them. No trouble driving the 600's at all.
Not saying none of them would sound better with an amp, but I see portable DAPs as having to work unaided or they are no longer really portable. Living in a warm climate we don't have coats with big pockets to lug strapped together rigs so lightweight is the only realistic way to go.

Thanks. I have ordered PP and hope to get it soonest. As I haven't tried PP (even DX50) before I placed my order, I really hope both of them can match together and provide a better SQ.

Well this should be fun...
Build quality of the DX50 is nice, but it does feel a bit cheaper than the DX100 - as one would expect, at 1/3 of the price. The DX50 fits perfectly in my hands and the buttons are VERY nice, perfect tactile feedback. Not too hard, not too mushy.

It's a DX50.
Joking aside, I think you are referring to this. I don't want too much dust getting in via the 6.3mm port I never use.

Oh, right. I just have an adapter in it all the time.

Girl's generation, can you please update my review on the first page? In my review it says the soundstage isn't great, but that was because I was listening to my HDP-R10 beforehand.

i've looked at page 1 with all the details but cannot see any links to retailers. is this http://www.ibasso.com/en/products/show.asp?ID=81 the only place to buy from at the moment? i'm in the uk and want to avoid paying any customs duties if at all possible.

ibasso kindly marked mine as a USB soundcard - so no duties paid in the UK
