Any of you DX50 owners have a spare screen protector you wouldn't mind spending a stamps worth to mail to a fellow head fier?

I rarely use mine. Honestly, the changes are noticeable but not life changing.

When its "on" the output (both HO and LO) is cut by 6dB, so that when an EQ band is maxed out at +6dB, the DAC doesnt clip.

So if you have it on and flat, you'll just have to turn the volume up higher. (so basically just leave it off if you're not using it)

i have the 31hz on 10, it gives some texture on my ex600, slightly but enjoable.
at least with this sonys still sounds like a proper studio monitors

Sent on the X5 last week, so far not missing it much, DX50 is smoother
on the ear yet detailed, and I find the UI better and I can just plug it into the 
PC and drag n drop, so very impressed so far. 

 
Can the DX50 match, or at least come close to the X5 on overall sound?

The headphone amp of the x50 is certainly louder than the X5 ( on 1.1)

That does sound very good. Now all I have to do is decide between the 50 or 90.

It only seems to happen with a user wall paper, not with the stock wall paper

tested it again and removed the custom wallpaper. Still happens with flac files. mysterious bug but nothing really important. maybe fixed in next version.

=O on 16bits flac it shows also the shadow bar
doesn´t matter, sounds great

i just had a quit frightening moment….was listening to a great song, volume was fine, und suddenly there was like a single note from another song which intruded….and it was CRAZY loud…..
