What kind of volumes are most people running their DX50s at?
 
I have some Shure SE215s and I mainly use mine for my daily commute to/from work. 
 
I have my gain set to Low and I usually go from 180-200 (200 when on the bus and 180 when walking)

When amped, I go for 250/255, then let my amp do the rest. As for just the player, around 160-190. By usual is like 185. (Low gain)

I generally go much lower than that 60-90 with IEMs on L gain. With DT880/600 about 90-200 on M gain.

175-210 in Low Gain, around 175 to 190 with my IM70's, and 190-210 with my HD25's.

I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not damaging my hearing at all but having it at 200. I'm unsure how you can listen to it at 60-90, that's incredibly quiet on L gain from what I can hear.

Whether this is too loud depends on the sensitivity of your headphones.
 
If you are in doubt, turn it down.

That's either an uber sensitive iem or you have a supersonic ear. Anything below 170 to me even on a quiet room is a whisper using a JH16

The JH16 are less sensitive than the IEMs I use. I am very very careful with my hearing. I've tested all my listening equipment and output devices and volumes to be within 72-85dB with peaks over 90dB from time to time. I don't want to begin as a reviewer of headphones and end a reviewer of hearing aids. 90-200 volume based on the DT880 depends on album vintage. Newer albums are fine on lower volume settings. I make sure to stay within 72-85 with peaks of 90dB but always test a player's playback at loud volumes for distortion etc., to mimic what I think people are listening at.

hmm, depending on recording, I use high gain (well, hiss is the lowest with this setting) with my Sony XB90EX with volumes from 160 to 200... 90 on my player on low gain is just about the same as the noise floor of the amplifier so I kinda think there are variances among the DX50s.... seriously, I can hear music over the hiss only after 85. and that is with Hip-hop recordings which are pretty close to being clipped...
 
And I can't say I'm deaf - I can hear up to about 19khz in listening tests...

Westone4R 155 (indoor) to 165-170. Low gain.
HD25 around 160-170 Low gain.
 
PS: guys this number probably changes based on music and track real gain...

just got myself a DX50 recently, ,  i am happy with it, but have noticed the touchscreen is super sensitive, is there any way to adjust it?

No, someone implied I was ham-fisted when I complained about it. It has gotten easier over time, but it is way to sensitive. I like the idea of a touchscreen though, my X3 and HM-901 suffer from the lack of one.

Yeah, maybe need to get used to it, i keep tapping on the songs while browsing, kind of spoiled by the feeling of iphone's touch screen.
but i agree with you having a touch screen is much better.

With my W40 170-185 on H gain, 185-195 on M gain. Also depends on the tips...
