My dx50 is on route and should be here tomorrow guys,im just ordering up the cables i need.. I was to have my 2.5inch hard drive for use at home,im just wondering is the usb port on the dx50 the typical android port as you see on the nexus 4 etc? My 2.5 hard drive has a mini usb on it so i guess i would just need a low profile mini to micro usb cable?

The port on the DX50 is the micro USB one so sounds like your mini USB to micro USB should do the trick. Is your 2.5 HD externally powered? The DX50 has issues powering USB powered drives.

Thanks dude..well to be honest its just an old hard drive I had from a laptop which was past its sell by date,so i just removed it and hooked it up to a caddy... I bring it to work and stuff but if it hogs the battery of the dx50 or doesn't work its no biggie.. I have the 128gb usb stick and otg cable at the ready .. Just gonna get the iems now, earsonics sm3v2 or heir audio 4ai or westone 4r, reading as many reviews on them by the good folk on here to help my decision..

Not surprising. The is NO lineout on the AKs. I also prefer the lineout on DX50 over my AK120's phone out, whether going into desktop amp or a pair of active speakers (dynaudio xeo3).

If you were going into xeo 3 wouldn't you be better using the digital out on the dx50? If you go analog then you are just adding another digital conversion the xeo 3 accepts digital amd analog inputs.

You'd need a coax-to-toslink converter to utilize the digital input on the Xeo 3 - it's optical, the digital output of the DX50 is coaxial

I originally had the Brainwavz M4's but they didn't end up getting the 5th batch in so they upgraded the M4's to the R3's.

I ordered the external micro SD card holder that costs 12 dollars. FRom what I understand, you have to go into the file to pull the album from that but it doesn't show up on the screen, is this correct?

Congrats mate, welcome aboard the crazy train, if you feel need for a straight jacket to prevent reaching for your wallet, don't worry, you can buy them too! It only gets worse once obtaining the bug and the hobby for most never ends.
