just the T1 seems to be a little brighter sounding vs. the WA2. its a small difference, but its there.

 
T1 like nearly all Beyers has a big old spike at 10KHz.  Sometimes it's harmless, other times it's front and centre.

maybe this is why i notice less bass on TH-900s on the GS-X vs the WA2 or WA6-SE.
 
with the WA6-SE or WA2 on high output impedance, the bass was massive, i liked it sometimes, but it was so uncontrolled it recessed the mids and actually gave me bass fatigue, maybe thats where i was saying that the TH-900 had even more bass than the D7K, it was unbelievable how much bass the Th-900 would put out.

yeah. most of the times, the T1 doesn't ever bother me in the treble, its very rare that i find it too bright, but it does happen. 
 
the grado ps1000 however, god, i never thought audiophile recordings would ever sound sibilant, like the whole time i was listening to them i always felt fatigue in my ears, and i actually had ringing in my ears the whole week i was auditioning them, the treble spike on the PS1000 was as unbearable as the one on the beyerdynamic dt 770 pros i had once.

The TH900 does have a slight rise at 50Hz but this times it's more to do with dampening or lack there of.

  I just ordered a balanced Q-Audio French Silk cable to use with my LCD-3.  Has anyone used the Q-Audio headphone adapter cables to use the French Silk with an HD-800?  I'd prefer to spend $50 on an adapter cable than $400+ on a completely separate headphone cable.
 
Can't wait for my GS-X MK2 to arrive.  The wait is excruciating. 

 
I just received Q-Audio cables for my HD-800s yesterday and the adapters work as advertised - meaning they aren't bulky and the weight is not noticeable. As for SQ, I can't comment on the differences between this and stock since I've only taken a quick listen. That said, the Q-Audio definitely sounds no worse than stock. For a source and HF amp, I'm using a Benchmark DAC2 HGC until my GS-X MK2 arrives.
