Does that mean the EQ will be re-enabled for all file bit/sample rates? Or does it just apply to the current 24/48 & under?

Confirmed just means enough people have voted for it for the system to automatically confirm that this is a popular issue. But yes, we are working on having more custom EQs (for 48kHz and under). I will update the bugzilla entry accordingly.

I think you're right. Bug 59's explanation wasn't as clear though which is probably why there are 7 votes on bug 108 and 0 votes on bug 59.

Based on the not so detailed description, it seems that it doesn't matter if it is the first song to be played. I think it is an older bug where every song you play starts at 0:03. Now it has been fixed but the problem occurs only in the first song you play upon powering on the X5.

Yeah even if it is the same as mine, I won't merge it with 59. Bug reporters should really explain the bug as clear as possible so it can be addressed correctly.

I requested this for the X3, and it seems to have been fixed in 2.14beta

. I'm getting my X5 tomorrow, so I'm hoping they fix it for the X5 soon!

As it turns out, the firmware unpacking tool for the X3 also works for the X5. You'll have to rename x5.fw to x3.fw, but that's all. a better way to do it:

For unpacking, you have to edit "unpack.bat" and change x3 into x5 ( packtools --unpack -i x5.fw -o x5 )

For packing, you have to edit "pack.bat" And change x3 into x5 ( packtools --pack -i x5 -o x5.fw -m x5 )

Why would you unpack X5's firmware? Is there something customizable for the X5? Sorry don't have X3 so I'm not familiar with the possible customization options.
