What headphone/IEM are you using to compare the two?

Why not buy from China I bought mine from eBay over a week ago and they still have good stocks its be best player I have had -

All the cowons have audibly transparent sound reproduction as the X3.

I bought mine from bigbarginonline But looks like he has sold out now. I can still there are some left from other suppliers .

My J3 doesn't have a convincing sub-bass. It seems lacking. My nationite N2 is probably better. It's transparent enough for me though..

The J3 has very slight bass roll off.

I am not disputing anything, the graphs agree with what he says! I just posted it as a link for reference considering all the DAPs that keep appearing for discussion on the threads are in the link I provided above. You might want to think before jumping to conclusions.

Speaking of which, if you are going to talk about whether something is disputable or not, I would rather trust equipment that is complete free from perception bias which also has 'hearing' thousand fold more sensitive that my own.

Quality is very good, powerful yes, dynamic yes , transparency and image better on Z2 . No distortion and very musical 
nice warm sound. 
Nothing to complain about but Z2 has more resolution and detail if they are the correct adjectives

I have used Inearz re moulds of Logitech TF 10's my IEMs
 
Also small portable sennhiser PX200's mark II's 
 
And full size sennhiser HD600's

I purchased mine 2nd hand from a great guy who purchased it 1st from audiothinker on ebay
each x3 has an online 20 digit authenticity check, mine not even scratched off by 1st purchaser
