@FiiO, I have the firmware which does dsd dop and yesterday after continuously getting blue screen I again updated the firmware fW2.0 but the problem is persistent. I am afraid if it is a hardware problem ? is the memory card port is defective ? when there is no card it does not go into blue screen mode .

Hi FiiO, may I know is it possible to add more custom EQ in future firmware upgrade? So that ppl no need to keep adjusting EQ when switching headphone, as each headphone/IEM may not perfect and need some slight EQ to help, please...

Dear triplew,

There will no new firmwares be released for X3II in the future. You can change the preset EQ which you don't prefer to custom one for help if you don't mind. But the name of the preset EQ won't change still.

Best regards

Dear rkt31,

Did the BSOD issue happen when updating the media library?
Please try to format your card or change another TF cards to see whether it helps.

As FiiO has already explained, all presets are customizable as well. Moreover some time ago FiiO has provided a firmware tool that lets you change the preset names and enables other modifications.

I think FIIO is unlikely to bring back the hardware EQ.  They seem to reserve that for external DAC/AMPs now.

That is what happens when you let brand managers look at the product line.

I think hardware EQ would be great as it would function when the unit is in DAC mode or playing DSD files, etc.

I agree the hardware eq was great. It's been a longtime now since I owned the X3 but I still miss the bass & treble controls. I don't care much for the equalizer on the X3II so I listen with it off mostly.

I agree.

I have been less than impressed with the equalizer on the x3ii.  Could have really helped with brighter IEM's.

Yea the eq settings are pretty dull , but the player itself is a solid choice , I bought it after having issues with xduoo x3 , I'm mroe than happy as it can even supports usb dac and the sound output in mw is pretty darn good

I agree.  The x3ii is one of the best values out there in.

I'm excited to see how the x3iii will be.
