Mine is still working, but the HDD does have to spin up at times, so it does have its laggy points. Still, slapping it onto a Fiio e9i, it makes for a nice bedside unit.

Also, I pair it with an old 3GS which handles streaming music, primarily SiriusXM.

I have a working rockboxed 80gb ipod video 5.5g.  I had investigated upgrading it.  I decided that investing in a X3 was the better bet.   The X1 would probably be an even better bet from a dollars and cents point of view.

I'm assuming it'll go with the multiple color variations the 2.14 beta X3 firmware is using.  I'd laugh if pink was the only color though.

I can see they're going for mass appeal which is fine, but I'm not a fan of the hot pink either. I'm sure somebody will be able to give it a more palatable color, so I'm not worried at all.
