Well defective units can't be ruled out for sure as both of my units (consecutive) came with defects. Really shows the quality Telcast puts into the units lol. My friend from work had his Sflo2 come with a special upgrade (saw dust to fill the emptiness lol).

There are defective units, so those people that couldn't hear the pure gold weren't deaf, and I don't like listening to "hidden fake DSP", they were all just listening to... defective pure gold.
 
I don't want to kill the T51 or anything because it's one of the best DAP's I know of, surpassing the Cowon S9 and HM-601 for instance.
 
 
It's a shame, it has so much appreciation, and there are DIY'ers that love it's sound, rolling the opamps, upgrading capacitors and charge pump IC (whatever that is?), and now this? A fake? Really?

This is exactly what's happening to my Edition 9s. The gold coating on the Ultrasone logo is flaking off in spots, and underneath it's a darker muddy color.

From what I gather, they take a very long time to ship stuff out, and sometimes act like they have stuff in stock when they actually don't.

Eww deceptive business practice (avoid like the plague). I had similar issues with MP4Nation but not on the shipping (that was actually really fast) but when it came to warranty support. It took over 2 months for me to get a new Sflo2 from them due to my first unit being badly damaged out of the box and screen defects (looked like someone threw it off the roof of the empire state building lol). Then when I finally received my second unit all appeared normal until I went to charge it (it took 7 to 8 hours to fully charge while compared to the 4 hours my first unit took to charge! ).
