I think Adderal is for ADD/ADHD or something, if I'm not mistaken. Which would imply the converse.

Adderall = amphetamines. They give amphetamines to people with attention / concentration problems to get them to focus on tasks like studying.

In most people they do cause hyperactive behavior to a very large extent.

Edit: ALL THIS FOOD TALK OH GOD.

I've only read Dance Dance Dance, I should really read more.

Another author I like is Natsuo Kirino. I have a thing for sheer amounts of mundane detail until it becomes surreal, followed by a sudden lurch into grotesque or terrifying imagery. American Psycho, Something Happened et al.

I read 1Q84, which is excellent, and an easier read than the other one I read, "Kafka on the Shore" (a wonderful wonderful book). I do like Ryu Muramaki too though, I read "Coin Locker Babies"...so hardcore but great.

I always ate everything. I think I tried everything from brain to pig ears to chicken feet to grasshopers to scorpions to worms to bees....I don't like veal liver...that is the only exception :D

I can't eat Taro root, coleslaw, or chocolate soy milk (don't ask). Otherwise my dogma towards food is - "even if it tastes awful, you simply can't stuff anymore, suck it up and eat it all". This stemmed from some childhood stuff.

Now Warren's comments seems more apt then ever.

Nope. C435 is a CIEM, ultra dry and detailed, for monitoring. The Parterre is a universal meant to reproduce the soundstage of a theater "parterre" seats.

Stop making me drool....

Nope, I took my last one during finals week.

Good results?

Better be.
C435s don't just pay for themselves unless someone ekse pays for them.
And I firmly remember a particular contract...

@muppet: Strange I don't have comfort issues with my 1Plus2 or suis in terms of the suction. I know tips may play a roll in that. I actually find the 1Plus2 more comfy than my customs technically since it really doesn't touch the insides of my ears other than the actual silicone. I think silicone is just more comfy than acrylic. But I have no comfort issues with my 8As. Just will never be as comfy as silicone in my case. But I can wear them for hours without issues. Plus I don't lose seal on them so it's a big plus. Factor in the isolation and its a huge plus :).

It's not just suction, which is a huge problem for me with a lot of IEMs like the Heaven series, but also the sensation of fullness inside the ears. Even with universals that are more comfortable than average like the TG! 334 and 1Plus2, I'm still finding I prefer the sensation of custom stems because they feel less stuffed if that makes sense.

My ear canals are extremely narrow however.

The most comfortable CIEMs for me are FitEar's because they have a relatively shallow insertion depth compared to some others.

Congrats ID, hope you love them ! Though not.perfectly fitting my tastes, I find them crazily impressive, in build as much as in sound.

Thanks! I'm going to try not to think about them all that much, hopefully I'll forget all about them and the time will fly by quick

CIEMs make so much more sense to me. At least in theory. In actuality they can be a PitA to get right. Nevertheless I'm starting to really prefer them. Was listening to the JH16Pro in a noisy lobby. It was the best sound I'd heard outside of my listening space at home; it was a sound-world unto itself, and it was mine.

This exactly.

Even stuff like the SM64 and 1Plus2 which have some of the least pressure of any universal I've used still kind of bug me in this respect.

1plus2 with the red Heir tip, which are quite "pointy" really minimize this pressure for me.

Just get a Tera player and a pair of SE5 and be done with it...

Even though I haven't the luck of owning one in particular, having tried a couple of CIEMs from other people with a *generally* good fit (most recently planx's UMs) I have to wholeheartedly agree.

I mean tip rolling is nice and all but...

After stopping my advance @ Shure's with custom Sensaphonic ear molds, I'm trying hard not to get sucked back into the latest barrage of customs. This was the only way I could get into full-size headphones and related gears.

With all my gears in storage, the temptation to go >portable >mobile >NOW, is haunting me.

Speaking of portables, lee730's pix reminds me an awful lot of how members stack/band together their portable amps/dacs. Looks just

Hmm. I guess I find it hard to follow. Because with Custom IEMs for me I feel like my ears are more stuffed. I mean I always feel that they are there. I've gotten comfortable enough with my universals to forget they are there. But my Customs I pretty much know they are there all the time. But its not uncomfortable though. But for me just not as comfortable as a universal fit. Maybe once I get the SE5s I'll feel differently though since those are silicone based. I think I'm just more sensitive to having acrylic touching the insides of my ears. Even the Sui and 1Plus2 have given me pain before when the acrylic/metal housing was touching inside my ears.... But if its just the silicone then it's extremely comfortable for me :). We all have different ears obviously so it's no surprise of our differing opinions. My ears are on the large side and I have a sharp crook right at the entrance of my ear canals.

On a side note I finally got my 8As back. It's been a couple months, maybe 3. It's been a PITA journey as you had mentioned Muppet. Not sure where to start. I decided not to post on the Heir thread in support of Heir due to the entire experience. Plus being made to pay for their mistake (I had to pay shipping back to them and back from them on a design flaw that should never have been considered acceptable in the first place!).

The pictures below are of the first build of my IEMs. The patch job on the left IEM should never have been considered acceptable on their part. They've never done that to any other customer before and this is where my entire problem lies with them an ethics.

Below is the second build of my IEM once I shipped the first pair back to be redone. As you can see this looks even worse than the first pair since they messed up both sides instead of one this time lol. They tried to not provide me pictures and gave me a hassle when I asked them to provide me multiple pictures.

Finally the picture below is what I consider acceptable. Like the builds they make for everyone else. I didn't expect anything special on my part just quality work that they give to everyone in general. Not sure why it was made so hard to get to this point lol but I'm glad its over. The fit seems to  be good and I am ecstatic to be done with this company forever.

I switched out the mangus cable for the gold cable which really improved the sonics of these IEMs and pairing them with the Nova N1 player so far is the best I've heard them sound with music. Finding the right synergy with these is not easy. They don't sound nearly as good on my Triad or Studio V compared to the N1 lol (they sound like crap on them to be honest...). Overall in terms of sound and finally build lol, I'm quite happy with them. Just the experience of purchasing a $1,200 unit was hell and I wouldn't wish that kinda service on my worst enemy.

The chip on the first one looks really bad. Really bad. I couldn't see the problem with the second - is the discoloration on the stripe the problem or is that a camera-light-effect thing?

Wood looks great, but it also looks to be a hassle. My 3.Ais do fine atm but sometimes I wonder...
