got the last pair of K142HD this morning for $19.99. Was hoping to get the K172HD but on a quick listen the 142 are not bad for the rice . This could be a nice gift exchange at work.

But I got a pair of Monoprice 8323's coming in next week so I won't feel so bad... Would have loved a pair of AKG's for 20 bones though.

I'm confirming what others has reporting regarding the comfort of the AKG.... very bad. The pads are just too firm. :mad: But I have replaced them with some Shure SRH-940 velour pads and WOW! They are very comfy now and they sound pretty good too. I used them today for gaming at MW3 and they did a god job. Loving those great deal. Almost as much as my T1. Almost

Waited a while for my local Future Shop to open in the morning, no HD25-1, no AKGs. Must have sold out yesterday. Anyone else get any luck?

Nothing on my end either. For those interested though the Sony XBA IEM's are still showing up as available. Looks like FutureShop is doing a makeover of their stock. The last few weeks their headphone shelves have slowly been demenishing in products. I hope what they decide to replace it with brand and sound wise is just as good.

There was a pair of Grado RS2is up on Amazon as a demo set ($290) but someone just bought them. I hesitated because they had wear from being used in-store plus who knows about the warranty. If they work well, then that was a sweet deal.

No sure about that. It look like they give more room to Skullcandy, House of Marley, ect... Maybe they didn't make enough $$$ with the good brand. :mad:
