Understandable, not pressuring ya. I was just spoiled a bit by how easy returning stuff with Amazon, and other sites that provide free return shipping, so these things are pretty much risk-free for me.

Actually you can waive the fee on jet.com. The fee is actually for returning an item you don't want anymore and is still new.

If you waive the fee and the item is defective, you can still return it for free

Yes, free returns if defective or wrong item.  I have done this.

I have always been able to contact a Jet customer support person quickly through their 800 number, and the service foks seem well trained and sympathetic.

The downside, is that because they use primarily 3rd party sellers, it can take a long time to get a refund or reorder.   In my case, they informed me that the 3rd party vendor had 2 weeks after they received the returned item to them to issue a refund. Jet would not contact the seller or investigate until after the 2 week period.  So, if you are patient, you get free returns and refunds for mistaken items.

An Amazon Deal of the day is on a collection of Factory Refurbished B&W Headphones and Wireless Speakers.

The prices seem good not great, but the brand is not discounted much often, so probably a good deal if you want a good price and hassle-free refunds.

Prices include Bowers and Wilkens P3 Refurb $90, and P5 Refub $140, plus A5 and A7 Wireless speakers.

A much cheaper option is the miniDSP UMIK-1 USB Measurement Calibrated Microphone: http://www.amazon.com/miniDSP-UMIK-1-Measurement-Calibrated-Microphone/dp/B00N4Q25R8. Works with REW, the free room calibration software that is very popular among home audio enthusiasts: http://www.roomeqwizard.com/

I think there must be one company that actually makes all the sub $200 measurement mics as there are about a dozen from different companies that all look/spec identical with different logo.  I shied away from the sub $100 offerings as on a number of forums the really serious folk reported issues with LF on the cheaper mics and I just figured - if I'm going to go to all the effort of actually measuring my room (and eventually HP's) might as well spend a bit more and get something I know does the job really well.

I've always heard good things about mini DSP products. Worth looking into their mic given the better cost and the REW integration before spending twice as much.
