It's a great piece. I began my burn-in process by cleaning out the gutters yesterday.

Started some exterior prepping for painting with mine. Today, I get to test it out setup on some steps. This ladder is the bomb for a homeowner

I just recently bought Audio Technica ATH-W1000X new in box from my local Best Buy Magnolia it was a Magnolia AV home design I think there is a difference between this and the regular magnolia. Anyhow the price was 250.00 new in box obviously authorized dealer. I bought from the Woodlands Tx store and they can take orders and have them shipped to your local best buy I asked. They do not have any in stock but they told me they can ship them from one store to another looking at the inventory screen he was showing about 10-12 throughout the U.S. I'm sure you can get them at any Magnolia home design but I just mentioned this one since they have always given me great service unlike the other Magnolia stores in the Houston area and they can take care of you over the phone.

It's not at all unusual to see Magnolia offering better prices in store and not reflecting those prices online. If you have a Best Buy Magnolia store nearby I suggest giving them a call and asking. I was a Magnolia salesperson for a few years, back when it was primarily a stand-alone company, and that was still true back then.

This same thing happened back when Magnolia had the Denon D600 on sale for $150 (down from $400).  It was in-store only and half the time the employees didn't even know it was on sale until you made them check the computer.  That was a pretty good deal.

I find when I stand on the top rung, the highs become more airy but the atmosphere rarefied, compared to on the ground where the bass has a full earthy tone and the atmosphere positively drips. Sometimes it even rains.

its a great GREAT headphone, i use it as my WOODIE reference in testing out new high end headphone amplifiers!!! very musical
great tone and good bass, very liquid, but needs a good amp for sure!

Indeed. I recall some years back when I purchased the Denon AH-7000 from Magnolia (before Best Buy acquired them) at a steal of $550 brand new and out the door.  Wish I would have kept them.

i got my ATH W1000s in HONG KONG in the high fi district, not speaking any Chinese, i pantomined up up up referring to
the quality headphones i wanted (they had 5000$ cables in the windows) until they finally brought out the W1000s and smiled
and laughed.  280$ us dollars there, a steal compared to the list price.  so 250$ is A GREAT PRICE!
