I know they aren't real I just wanted to hear an opinion from someone who owns one and possible owns and HD800 as well. Or someone who owns an 800 and can recommend another stand.

OK man, that's cool. Just wanted to make sure you wouldn't get disappointed with the final product. Saving a few bucks is always a good thing, in this addiction :)

Truth. Too much money has been spend by me in the last 8 months.

Just bought an X2 for $198 (very good) with only damage to the box. I don't need this headphone at all butI did love my X1 and I miss it. The X1 was just too small on my head so I had to sell it. For this cheap price I just felt the need to go ahead and purchase it. Let's hope I get an x2 that is basically new with no dye leaking issue. Lol

Whats this dye leaking issue you talking about?

Anyways, even if any of you dont get a pair on AWD for 200, seeing how the market fluctuates and seeing how these X2 dropped in price within a short amount of time compared to the X1 and also seeing how low the X1 has gone down.............

I wouldnt be surprised if the prices will lower a bit more down, especially for new ones. I would guess they have plenty of stock of the X1s, hence why we have seen many lighting deals on them in the past few months ( like 4 times already i think?). So if they are pushing these X1s now to make some room for the X2s, then there is bound to be more deals coming up for them. But honestly, without a doubt, for 200 for a pair from AWD, I will take them now....like NOW!! lol

But patience is key.....

patience.....

patience...

patience.

Patience!!

Lets just hope those HD600 dont come around the 200 or less price mark.....or we are going to have alot of unhappy wallets. A lot of them.....with happy people of course :p

What iems should I get for around 250$ I'm looking at some of these deals and can't decide! I wanna upgrade from my gr07 and etymotic hf5!

There's not much time left, but you might want to look into the Flare Audio kickstarter.

They've been some getting rave reviews. For example:

I'm in for the R2Pro for an upgrade to my GR07 and TDK BA200. About 2.5x as much as I've ever spent on an earphone, but for such a great discount, it felt like the right time to take the plunge. From the reviews (as I haven't heard these yet), it sounds like the cheaper model, R2A should also be a substantial upgrade to the GR07.

Well... hopefully they won't sound like their full-size looks (graphically)... although, that's exactly what Tyll said:

They sound a lot better than the R1. I felt like the R1 had potential when I closed off all those ports they had around the cup, but it was all over the place with the ports opened and they refused to close them off because it would defeat the whole idea of their equally pressure balanced driver system. These IEM's from Flare are very natural sounding though. There is no comparison between them and the R1. The R2A and R2PRO are better by far than the R1. The R1 was just... wonky sounding.

Nice!
I was actually interested in their "closed-back" version but then I saw the price... No...
