Wow. Don't think I can beat that. I have, however, had someone complain that a computer (in her case, a mini tower) shouldn't have to be plugged in to work ("shouldn't they just have batteries?").

My brother works as help desk and has a couple of funny stories. Two that I remember are:

He had a gentlemen call him up asking why his computer wasnt working. My brother asked if the computer had power. The gentlemen replies, how would I know that. My brother then says try pressing the power button. The gentlemen replies, nothing. My brother then says to look behind the computer and to see if there is a cable coming from the case to the outlet. He replied, you'll have to come and help me.

A lady calls up saying her mouse doesnt work. My brother as a joke told her to turn it over and see if it was breathing. She said, nope.

I once had someone ask me if it was possible to hack into a computer while it was off.
