As a former owner of HD668B, I have to say that comfort is quite bad. Anybody find a way to mod or stretch them overtime?

Sound quality-wise they are at least on par with the AD700, should be nice for somebody who wants a rather flat monitoring sound for the price.

I just ordered the Superlux HD669s.
The 668B are out of stock and I prefer closed headphones anyways.
Just curious what all the fuzz is about, if the HD668B's are considered to be on par with Audio Technica ATH-AD700s then the HD669 should at least be on par with my ATH-A500s.
Can't wait to compare them.

I think it really depends on head size and ear size, my Samsons, which clamp harder, are virtually unnoticeable for me. But yea people usually say AKG or beyer velour, or even stock AKG pleather make a big improvement.

I agree with napilopez, for me i feel the wings press too hard sometimes, but a friend of mine says they are the most comfortable pair ever.

only con for both of us is the fact that the earpads ger our ears sweaty. might have to try some velour pads, i have the K501 pads but havent tried on them.

Today I picked up a Superlux HD662 ($30 closed, amazing value considering the Sennheiser HD280pro costs $100), HD381 ($14!!) and another HD668b ($34, I modded the crap out of my first pair). Expect a comparison/round up soon.

Hi everyone. I need new cheap headphones and i was oriented to buy Creative Aurvana Live's before reading this thread. Those HD668b seem really interesting, but seem also more difficult to find (I'm in Italy and don't know if feedback.nl can ship to my country).
Does anyone know what would be the best sounding quality between those two headphones? I prefer a rather balanced sound with "fast" bass response (i listen to metal, among other genres).
