From what I have read about the SRH-1540, the HD800 sound like a higher end version of it. Tested the HD800 + Beyer A1 amp once.

The phillips fidelio x1 are great for what you're looking for.

HD800 are quite different from SRH1540. In fact, it's closer to UERM. So far so good though.

Whoa. Sony Z5. I just got my hands on them. I want the bluetooth cable, but I need to save up a bit more. Anyhow, Z5 is great. I love them.
