What are you using to damp the magnet back? Is that a blob of glue or something else?

I want the cable to be detachable from the ear piece. Is the Mogami cable good that some one asked about on the previous page any good? Or what if I ran 4 conductors to each side? http://www.amazon.com/Speaker-100ft-Spool-Rated-Listed/dp/B0033HRZMS/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296612319&sr=1-5 Also does the fact that the previous cable is 14 guage matter I thought that played a role in quality? I don;t want to spend more than $5-6 dollars a foot so if you have anything better and a link that would be great.
EDIT: Think I'm just gonna start a thread about it.

The stock stuff is definitely not 14 gauge, that's massive wire. That would be getting pretty thick even for speaker wire that never moves (actually, I think that's what's on my Cerwin Vegas now). And by 4 to each, are you basically saying to do what they do with the newer 125i and up with the 8-Conductor?And if you wanna make it detachable, why not just reterminate the stuff that's already there with a plug rather than ending it at the driver, and add a socket to the cup?

Yeah I want an 8 conductor cable to each side, how about some 12awg http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10239&cs_id=1023901&p_id=2747&seq=1&format=2 or how about monster cable from Amazon, I know their HDMI cables are a rip off but is their speaker cable any good? http://www.amazon.com/Monster-XLN12S-18SB-Standard-Speaker-Cable/dp/B002MBZVFE/ref=sr_1_23?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1296612849&sr=1-23

Lower AWG# = thicker wire. The 21AWG Canare Star Quad seems to be used quite a bit. I think 18AWG is kinda inflexible if you go more than one strand, and you're talking about 4. So 20AWG seems to be the thickest you want to use for headphones from what I've seen. I think the stock is 24AWG as a reference.
