All resistors have inductance.
You can't get rid of it.
Even a piece of wire has inductance.
I assume you meant Low Inductance?

But In practice, if it's small enough, you can ignore it, especially at audio frequencies.

BTW, I've seen very hot ceramic resistors in the field. As a few posters have pointed out, some types do run extremely hot at full power, so may seem pretty damn hot at say 25% of their power rating.

So even though they are low inductive like you say it is common industry practice to call them non inductive.

Yes I did sorry . It's just low enough to be ignored. So far very happy with the amp right now. I have two more to try out , when I can. But I do not expect to get anything more out of ot , maybe less. After what I heard yesterday I think my stax rig can in some ways do it better. I see you are up late .

Don't sweat it too much folks.
I've spent too much time around Switchmode Power Supply designers who will always tell you all inductors have resistance and capacitance, all capacitors have inductance and resistance, all transistors.....etc, etc, etc.
So I blame my reprobate behaviour on Switchmode Power Supply designers.

I have just bought the integrated Leben CS-600 amp with built-in headphone output and switchable headphone mode. I have to say that it is a great match with my speakers and HD800 too! Very detailed but relaxing and musical sound with the HD800.

I was very happy and paid less than 3800USD for a demo unit from our local distributor with upgraded tubes and 1 year warranty. The sound is really great! I have never heard the HD800 so sweet and musical. And the HD800 bass! Just wow!

Cool I'm glad it sounds great. Those headphones are tough to please.
Almost as bad as the HE6. But I'm sure that amp will do well
With that amp too. I have to try my HD800 with my krell amp

The HD800 are tricky.
 
I have tried 3 head-amps with the HD800:
Audio-GD Phoenix (balanced HD800): The Phoenix was great with my old AKG701 but it is not the ideal amp for the HD800.
Little-Dot MKVIIIse (balanced HD800): Very solid performance with the HD800. The HD800 are pretty enjoyable and more musical than with the Phoenix. It is possible that the space is bigger, more 3D and more precise than the Leben. But I have no good RCA cables for the Leben at the moment and have to verify this in a longer run...
Leben CS-600 (single-ended HD800): Musicality and sweetness! Best HD800 bass. Everything sounds very nice, even bad recordings. Highs are detailed but so enjoyable, no tsss and peaks at all!
 
Ask me again for several months The Leben is my favorite at the moment. The best match with the HD800 so far.

i have figured out my resister heat problem . I just put two 20 ohms in parralell so all is better now. with the amp i am using now i need the attenuation and proper loading of amp output. with the he6 its fine with no attenuation but there is a slight low hiss and with the HD800 the his is there but attenuation is a must to get to 1/3 of the volume level and not be very loud. thanks so much .
