Source Upgrade -- I'm ready (up to $2500)

Congrats Joey! Wow- I'm glad you took your time and made a huge jump rather than several small ones- much cheaper in the long run! Life must be good down in So Cal since your budget doubled in the past 6 months! I'm getting really jealous because all of you are buying new toys! If you can believe this, I haven't bought a new piece of gear in about 9 months now! I'm actually happy with my systems for once.

Great choice on a great source. Enjoy it!

is an EAD 2000. It is an amazing player that you will be VERY hard pressed to surpass for less than $3k. I auditioned several new cdps a while back, and the Arcam 33 came the closest to the EAD, but did not surpass it. The
one cdp I really want to hear is the AR CD3 MKII ($5500).

Happy hunting

The CD3 MKII is HEAVEN with Redbook. I'm lucky enough to get to spend time quite often in front of one and they make beautiful music.
The next player I want to try in the $3K range is the Lector CD7T tube CDP.
