Hi all,
I have made more listening with my NWZ-A15 and my headphone Sony MDR-1R. I have to say it is not optimal. The sound is really good, there are new details revealed on each track, and the soundstage is enormous. But there is way too much bass for my ears. The MDR-1R is not a Beats, but we can see the bass boost here at 100Hz:

When I use my MDR-1R with my MacBookAir, I use this parameter on the equalizer from iTunes:

I found a human explanation on frequency range:
http://www.teachmeaudio.com/mixing/techniques/audio-spectrum
Frequency Range Frequency Values
Sub-bass 20 to 60 Hz
Bass 60 to 250 Hz
Low midrange 250 to 500 Hz
Midrange 500 Hz to 2 kHz
Upper midrange 2 to 4 kHz
Presence 4 to 6 kHz
Brilliance 6 to 20 kHz
=> I would need to reduce sub-basses and basses.
So I would use the NWZ-A15 equalizer to reduce the bass at 100Hz (and lower). But the equalizer has only five bands: : 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz, 6.3kHz and 16kHz, like here: http://reho.st/self/d7346ea60ddd613a40c926c7fd92ce773784b804.jpg
So the lower we can reach is 400Hz.
There is a sixth band called "ClearBass" (don't know which frequency), but we can only boost it, not diminish it. But it should be possible. For example, on the Xperia ZX1, we could lower it:

Any idea on my problem?
- Change my walkman?
-
Change my headpohone?
- Be use of it?
- Booste all ranges (upper-range, presence et brillance (2.5kHz, 6.3kHz et 16Khz) except the low ones, and I lower the global volume?
- Use other equalizer settings?
